Sunday, April 21, 2013 – Benaroya Hall – 7 pm Concert – 6 pm Cultural Exhibit
The concert features some original Chinese folk music in symphonic form for the first time. It presents a spectacular evening program with concerti for erhu; jinghu and jingerhu; violin; and cello to the audiences. You will also have a chance to watch Chinese instruments such as erhu, pipa, and guzheng mingling with western orchestra.
Festival Info & TicketsAustin Huang started composing in 2007 and has since composed 10 pieces which have performed in both the US and China. He is an engineer and composer. Rigorous training in engineering has helped him tremendously in music composing and he sees many similarities between writing a dissertation and composing a concerto.
